Setting up our Office in 1993 we did not follow any patterns. It was bothering us a lot, since we were feeling many times that we had to re-invent the wheel and preach to the probably already converted. We were looking with envy at big network law offices which, while opening their branches in Poland, could follow the experience gained for many years by their master centres. In our Office each and every element of the daily work was created by us alone, starting from the scheme of work-time registration, via the system of collecting and registering of files, methods of data protection, up to a safe way of recording and reminding the lawyers of ongoing deadlines. In many cases we had to learn from our own mistakes. Hopefully we have managed to learn a lot.
Quite a long time has passed since 1993. At the beginning the Office was comprised of three lawyers, and now it employs more than a dozen people. We were trying to de-velop in a way allowing to keep advantages of a medium-sized law office and at the same time to succeed in facing the challenge of meeting the ever more demanding needs of our developing clients. Maybe it will not sound modest, but we have been trying all the time not only to enlarge our Office and increase the number of our lawyers, but first of all to continually upgrade the quality of our services. Nevertheless, the longer we have been running the Office, the more we have been aware how much we still can do to make the services we provide ever better.
